Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-04-24
These terms govern use of the Postlens website. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
Nature of the service
Postlens aggregates UK public data and uses AI to summarise it for a given postcode. The information is provided for general interest only and is not financial, legal, medical, or professional advice. Decisions about housing, schooling, health, or anything else should not be based on Postlens alone.
AI-generated content
Summaries, comparisons, and chat responses are generated by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always verify anything important against the underlying source.
Acceptable use
- Personal, non-commercial browsing of postcodes is welcome.
- Automated scraping, bulk extraction, or programmatic access without written permission is not permitted.
- Do not use the site to harass, defame, or stigmatise specific neighbourhoods, streets, or people.
- Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse the AI endpoints, or interfere with the service.
Intellectual property
The Postlens UI, text, and code are owned by Enzo Tang. Underlying data is owned by the original providers (data.police.uk, ONS, HM Land Registry, etc.) and is used under their respective licences. Public-sector data is generally licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantee that the data is accurate, current, or fit for any particular purpose, and accept no liability for decisions made using the site, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Changes
We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date above will change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
